Iris Eytan is proud to have her representation of Coleman Stewart listed on the National Registration of Exonerations website. In 2018, Colorado criminal defense attorney Iris Eytan represented the college age defendant that had been shot by officers in the Boulder County police department. Iris’ defense strategy included a reconstructed crime scene that made it clear that the alleged “weapon” of the defendant, a BB gun, had not been used to attack the officers. Without prior indication, the prosecution dropped the charges and Stewart was ordered a refund of the $15,000 in costs and restitution.
